The David Tyson Trio is a group of like-minded professional musicians that share a love of improvisational performance that promotes audience interaction. David Tyson (guitar, trumpet, vocals), a native of Wilmington North Carolina, is a professor of Music Education at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. His performance resume includes settings from big bands to symphony orchestras and everything in-between. Aaron Mashburn (bass) brings a unique combination of musical complexity with an unmistakable groove that keeps him among the most in-demand session players in Nashville and NW Arkansas. Bruce Fowler (drums), originally from Los Angeles, has been an active participant in the Fort Smith music scene since 1988. His love of fusion and R&B is responsible for his unmistakable sound. Together, they provide a unique brand of entertainment that fuses improvisation and electronic sounds with traditional jazz and familiar tunes that is sure to get the party started!
